The fast-cruiser range consists of a
37’, 40’,
43’, 45',
46’, 56’ and the
64’ Maxi-One. The Grand Prix Full-Race range is
currently the 40’R and 44’R
and the brand-new
42'R and 56'R. In 2002, the GS40 Race won the IMS European Championship
as well as the IMS Worlds in Class C-2. The GS44 Race just launched a
few days prior to the May opening of the IMS World Championship in
Capri gets First in Class C-1 and then goes onto win the IMS European
Championship in June and pick up 1st and 3rd
Overall at the IMS Italian Championships in August. Sandwiched between
these two 44’s, claiming 2nd place, was a GS40 Race.
> Grand Soleil Racing
The 2002 season was very
successful for Grand Soleil.
The Grand Soleil 44' Race and Grand Soleil 40' Race have dominated
the IMS Circuits winning the World, European and Italian
Championships.
The reason behind this important investment in
the racing area is the trust in benefits that can be transferred from
these racing boats to the legendary Grand Soleil fast-cruiser range.
At the project level, the sum of experience derived from the Race
range is directly transmitted for: hull hydrodynamics, appendices,
deck gear, simplicity and efficiency of maneuvering as well as
ultimate safety of hull and deck structure. In the meantime, great
results have been obtained in testing new techniques, structures and
materials.
